Pages for the Resilient.

Patient initiated, peer supported and women led.

Meet the woman behind Bonus Days, Alison Conklin.

I have been a storyteller my entire life. My parents gave me a book when I was very young all about Greek Mythology that sits next to my bed—on the inside cover it has a hand written note from my mother that says “because we know how you love a good story”. These days, my storytelling is sometimes with a camera and sometimes with words, but the combination of both is what makes me the most happy.

Bringing Bonus Days Magazine to life feels like a combination of everything I have ever done and experienced in my life—poured into this project. Creating a space that can encourage people to know that no matter the circumstances life can be beautiful. Being able to work on this magazine with Taylor, our Art Director, has been a dream. I hope you find inspiration in each page and  please share your story with us as these are pages for you—pages for the resilient.

Meet our Art Director, Taylor Van Kooten.

I’m a creative storyteller and I’m passionate about using my skills in graphic design and beyond to make the world a more innovative place. I met Alison back in 2019 where we worked on countless editorial photoshoots together. Our combined art direction and vision always produced the most magical images, and when Alison approached me about her idea for Bonus Days, I didn’t even have to think about it—I knew instantly that I had to be a part of it. I am so honored to design these pages, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing partnership with my dear friend, Alison.
